Seasons are all about change and welcoming in new celebrations and experiences. This season is all about experimenting with the broad range of beauty trends that were front and center during Fall fashion Week.
Transform your classic eyeliner into dramatic, edgy strokes. The traditional single sweep that follows the natural shape of the eye has shifted to winged points and thick strokes on the lid and under eye. Soft and silvery touches spotlight the eye and take on a softer, smoky look. Flashes of cloud white and shimmering greys elegantly dress the eyes.

Brides will be brides, or so convention has it, cherishing gauzy fantasies of alabaster princess gowns trailing regal yards of tulle.
Or not. These days the more indie-minded bride tends to take a maverick stance, as apt to imagine herself strolling the red carpet, swathed, accordingly, in the look of the hour.
Elevating the dictates of fashion over those of tradition, she is often inclined to shed the sweetheart necklines, mermaid silhouettes and strapless looks that have long dominated the marketplace, and in some instances, even the veil.
She may turn instead to one in a raft of breezily irreverent styles: thigh-high or knee-grazing skirts; trousers in place of a dress; exaggerated sleeves and sassy off-the-shoulder necklines. And she may abandon virginal white in favor of a flattering tone of peach or blush.
The bridal market, which once moved at a stately, not to say glacial pace, has been quick to respond, briskly stepping up efforts to reflect the shifting tastes of a millennial generation. Last week, working a full year in advance of the season, designers introduced 2017 collections built on ethereal layers of sheer tulle and georgette. Some continued an emphasis on boudoir inspirations; others took a bolder stance, showing abbreviated skirts, crop tops and high-waist trousers, and necklines contoured to slide off the shoulders provocatively.
In a field once governed by caution, audacity rules, insolent touches cropping up everywhere, from the stiffly beribboned fascinators at Lela Rose to the medieval-style sleeves veiling the models’ fingertips at Vera Wang; and from caped looks at Badgley Mischka to the briefest of skirts at Naeem Khan, accented, improbably, with thigh-high satin boots.
Deep Dive instant cleansing water with micellar technology cleanses, tones and repairs the skin in a single step. Micellar water uses molecules like magnets to lift dirt, oil, and makeup from the face and eyes. The power of micelles instantly trap all impurities and traces of makeup, just a single wipe on the skin with a cotton pad is all that is needed. A powerful cocktail of Peptides coupled with Poppy Seed, Prickly Pear and White Lilly extracts will reduce wrinkles, increase collagen production, soothe, moisturize, firm and soften the skin. This multi-tasking product with state of the art ingredients and proven results is a ‘must have’ for all!

Once you’ve perfected your bridal makeup, you don’t want your happy tears to wash it all away. During “I do,” it’s difficult not to get a little misty eyed. Plus, when friends and family are all in one place, you never know when a wave of joy will bring about another round of joyful tears.
Instead of trying to avoid the inevitable, prep your look to withstand some light waterworks and have the tools on hand to repair tear streaks and blotchy cheeks. For a flawless look from start to finish, follow these tips to fix your mineral makeup after crying.
Water resistant formulas are your friend!
Lauren Conrad has taught us all to use a water resistant mascara to avoid black or brown tear streaks on the face. It’s a simple lesson… don’t forget it.
Stop your tears at the source.
When the waterworks start, it is tempting to rub and wipe the lower lashline, but you’re probably only going to make things worse. Always blot tears with a tissue from the inner corner of the eyes before they run.
If there are tears along the lashline, let them dry on their own if possible. Rubbing will create dark under eyes as well as a blotchy appearance to the skin. Be gentle! If your wedding dress has pockets, stuff them with tissues. If not, ask your maid of honor to come prepared.
Give your skin a cool down.
Your skin can become red and puffy when you cry unless you’ve perfected the pretty cry. Cool and calm the skin with a hydrating facial mist. Let the mist dry before applying additional makeup.
Pat powder onto the skin with a sponge.
Keep pressed powder foundation, blush and a dense makeup sponge in a clutch nearby. Gently press the powder on blotchy or streaky areas using the sponge to smooth out coverage. Once skin appears even, use the clean side of the sponge to pat and blend blush onto areas that need a bit more color.
Don’t apply too much product. Redness and blotchiness will subside naturally after a while, and you don’t want that caked on makeup look. If the powder creates a texture on the skin, you can also finish your application with a hydrating mist.
Cancel out redness.
After tears, eyes can look a little red. Try an eyeliner in a nude or peach shade on the waterline to instantly cancel out redness and brighten the eye area. If you have just a few minutes to fix up your tears, this is one step that makes a big impact with minimal effort.
Have the right tools.
It always helps to keep an emergency kit on standby for all of your bridal beauty needs. It’s better to be over prepared than under-prepared, so don’t skimp on the supplies! Here are a few items we recommend:
- Cotton swabs
- Water resistant mascara
- Pressed powder
- Makeup sponge
- Blending brush
- Eye drops
A bride should be ready to handle anything and everything that comes her way. Having a touch-up kit will give you a little peace of mind during your busy day.
